NEW Personal Protection in the Home Course
This course teaches defensive shooting skills and strategies for personal protection in the home. Students learn how to use cover and concealment effectively, and strategies for home and personal safety. It also qualifies participants for the Maryland Handgun Qualifications License (HQL).

Ladies Only Classes
This is a Ladies Only handgun training class that qualifies participants for the Maryland Handgun Wear and Carry Permit. It also qualifies participants for the Maryland Handgun Qualifications License (HQL). Located near the cozy O'Donnell Square Park, you will have the opportunity to enjoy your lunch break at any of several nice restaurants and eateries, before completing the classroom portion of the day and proceeding to the indoor gun range to participate in the live fire exercise.

Maryland CCW Permit (Concealed Carry)
CCW Permit training, 16 hours of instruction for an original application and 8 hours of instruction for a renewal application, to qualify for a Maryland Handgun Carry Permit.

Beginner Pistol Shooting Course
Students learn the basics of handgun shooting, safe handling of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, and the basic requirements to safely own and shoot a handgun. Each student will receive one on one instruction with semi-automatic pistols and revolvers in a live fire training exercise on the range.

Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL)
Handgun Qualification License training, a four-hour class which includes instruction on Maryland State firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a individual instruction on the range, shooting a handgun.

One on One Instruction
One on One instruction is goal based instruction that focuses on improving the student’s knowledge, skill and performance in any area of pistol shooting and use, as well as private instruction for the Maryland HQL and Handgun Permit certification.

Metallic Cartridge Reloading
Students learn how to select equipment, components and to use the reloading manual and reloading data. Students learn how to set up a reloading press, and how to set up and adjust reloading dies and equipment. This course includes a full day of hands-on reloading training by an NRA Certified Instructor with over 45 years of reloading experience. Successful completion earns each student an NRA Basic Metallic Cartridge Reloading certificate.

Maryland Firearms and Tactical Training LLC is focused on providing goal oriented firearms training and certification for students of all skill levels.

From introduction to handguns and basic pistol shooting techniques, to Maryland Handgun Qualification License and Maryland Wear and Carry (Handgun Permit) training, students will learn the skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. Metallic Cartridge Reloading is taught by a certified NRA Instructor with over 45 years of reloading experience.

Beginner students will learn safe handling, loading and unloading and firing of handguns.  Firearms malfunctions resolution and recovery techniques are an integral part of all training.  All students will learn proper techniques for shooting both supported and unsupported from the shooting bench, as well as from the standing position.

Special emphasis is placed on safety, proper storage of firearms and Maryland laws and regulations for possession, storage and transport of firearms.  Handgun, ammunition and accessories selection training is focused on individual needs and application.

Advanced training for individuals interested in adding to their current knowledge and skills, as well as certification renewal and range qualification services are available.
